Who We Are
Anxiety & OCD Behavioral Health Center is a growing private practice in Northwest Indiana (Munster, IN), 25 miles south of Chicago, with expertise in treating children, adolescents, and adults who suffer from anxiety, obsessive-compulsive spectrum, mood, and related disorders. We utilize treatments that are well established as most effective in reducing anxiety, worry, obsessions, avoidance, and unhealthy repetitive behaviors, including exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive therapy, behavioral interventions, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Our clinicians are fully informed of the latest research and treatment methods of these disorders.
What We Value
We believe in evidence-based treatments and are dedicated to practicing and disseminating treatments that work. We value therapists who are compassionate, good-humored, analytical, and inspiring to our clients. As staff members, we appreciate those who are dependable, honest, adaptable, and organized. We hope to create an environment of respect and open communication and encourage staff members to contribute ideas, incite positive change, and diversify their role appropriately.
Who We Seek
We are seeking a Ph.D. or Psy.D. postdoctoral fellow with experience in cognitive-behavioral treatments (including exposure and response prevention) for anxiety, OCD, mood, and related disorders. We are seeking someone who is passionate about what they do and believe in the treatments that they provide. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to apply for licensure to practice psychology in Indiana by examination upon acceptance into the fellowship with an opportunity to transition into a full-time staff position post-licensure.
Goal of Fellowship
The goal of the fellowship is for the fellow to attain proficiency in evaluating and treating anxiety, OCD, and related disorders; develop efficiency in completing all paperwork; gain experience in case consultations; appreciate issues related to running a private practice and the current healthcare environment; and learn how to relate effectively with families, other healthcare professionals, and school personnel. There will be opportunities to present workshops or didactics at local universities, schools, and annual conferences.
Compensation and Benefits
Attractive income potential in a fee-for-service practice with a consistent referral stream. Flexible hours, collaborative environment with office support. Weekly one-hour group consultations, individual supervision, and seminars are provided. Annual stipend to conferences for continuing professional development, speaking engagements and/or books and materials.
